Most of you that have been following us know that 2018 was a really good year for real estate but now with the final numbers in we get a chance to show you just how good.
The number of homes rose from 1,979 homes last year to 2,193 in 2018. That is an increase of 10% year over year. And lets not forget 2017 was a strong year in the Las Cruces Market as well. The average home price also increased from $188, 408 to $199,473 for about a 5.5% increase. There was over $437 million worth of real estate sold in 2018 which is a big jump from the $372 million sold in 2017.
The Jornada- Las Colinas area really led the way in the number of homes sold in 2018 with 303. Those homes sold at an average price of $189,721. Just slightly higher than the Las Cruces average.
Sonoma West had 185 homes sold at an average of $239,598.
Sonoma East had just one less home sell to make 184 for the year. Sonoma East did however have a higher average price of $254,756.
To wrap up a phenomenal year the highest priced home sold in December at $1.250 Million in Tierra Escondida.
